ZIEMOWIT SZCZEREK

is a journalist, writer, and translator, and winner of the “Polityka” Passport, the Grand Prix of the Kryminalna Warszawa Festival, and the Silver Distinction of the Jerzy Żuławski Literary Award. Twice nominated for the prestigious Nike Literary Award, Szczerek is known for his gonzo-style explorations of Central and Eastern Europe. He is the author of Mordor Will Come and Eat Us and The Triumphant Republic, in which he blends history and fiction to examine the political and cultural intricacies of the region.
