His research focuses on European integration, comparative administrative law, and legal history. His books include<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Power and Legitimacy: Reconciling Europe and the Nation-State<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(OUP, 2010) and several collective volumes on comparative administrative law. His articles have appeared in the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Columbia Law Review<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contemporary European History<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, European Law Journal, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Revue fran\u00e7aise d\u2019administration publique<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yale Law Journal<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, among other publications.
